Technical Security Analyst, Incident Response

Pinterest’s Security team is seeking a Technical Security Analyst to analyze data and detection systems to respond to suspicious threat-related activities. You will have the opportunity to work with computer forensic and investigative tools, data analytics, incident response, and build/automate tasks and tools. This is a unique opportunity to protect the data and privacy of our employees, partners, and users while investigating, and mitigating threats at Pinterest.

What you'll do :
  • Monitor detection systems and respond to alerts of anomalous or suspicious activity
  • Build rules to detect malicious activity and defend against threats
  • Use data analytics to guide detection and surface operational improvements
  • Summarize and present information from investigations to cross-functional teams
What we're looking for :
  • 3+ years experience in forensic investigations or similar technical investigations
  • Experience in Incident response, networking or system administration
  • Knowledge of operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux) and database tools (e.g. Hbase, SQL, or similar)
  • Experience interpreting information from multiple sources and work with large data sets (data analytics)
