Product and Commercial Counsel

We’re looking for a practical lawyer to join our legal team to support the expansion of our global monetization products. We are a small and nimble legal team supporting a growing company, so you will cover a lot of ground.

What you’ll do :
  • Partner with our engineering, product management, sales, GTM and communications teams, and legal team to identify and manage legal issues and risks during all stages of product development, and embed with those teams to monitor updates and advise on legal implications as the product evolves.
  • Work closely with the ads and content policy team to draft new policies and ensure compliance with laws, regulations and self-regulatory bodies, with a focus on consumer protection, privacy, content regulation, and advertising.
  • Draft, review and negotiate a variety of advertising-related agreements supporting our sales teams, such as MSAs, and other agreements with advertisers, agencies, and partners.
  • Provide senior management, country leads, and other cross-functional leaders with pragmatic and strategic advice to minimize legal risks while advancing business goals and initiatives.
  • Support product management and other cross-functional teams on the international expansion of our ads business.
What we’re looking for :
  • JD with at least 5 - 8 years of experience handling advertising and/or consumer internet matters in a demanding and innovative legal environment.
  • Experience with platform liability and privacy laws and regulations.
  • Experience with digital advertising and international practice preferred but not required.
  • Exceptional judgment and impeccable integrity with excellent communication skills.
  • Entrepreneurial, flexible, and collaborative working style with an eagerness to learn.
  • Track record of developing practical solutions to novel problems and taking the initiative to implement those solutions.
  • Proven ability to identify, prioritize and resolve issues quickly and independently and drive cross-functional efforts to successful completion.
