Head of IT Infrastructure

Pinterest is looking for an experienced engineering manager to lead our Corp Engineering team. This role is responsible for the tools, infrastructure and core services that keep our business running smoothly and our employees productive. You’ll manage a team of software and systems engineers that own our identity services, employee-facing cloud and client platforms, global network, core applications and internal tools.

What you'll do :
  • Own the IT Infrastructure portfolio and make sure the services we’re delivering are having the highest impact
  • Manage, mentor and support career development for a team of experienced software and systems engineers
  • Ensure that our services are robust, resilient, secure, and compliant
  • Recruit top talent and scale out the team by getting the right people in the right roles
  • Build a strong technical culture around our IT systems that emphasizes engineering excellence, rapid iteration, strong security, and frictionless user experiences
What we're looking for :
  • 5+ years in a technical leadership role on an engineering or IT team
  • Deep hands-on experience with software development, cloud infrastructure, IT services, networking, and security
  • Experience leading an engineering team, including recruiting, mentoring, roadmapping, and performance
  • Technical project management experience, including sprint planning and agile methodologies
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate business benefits, progress, and tradeoffs to all types of audiences
