Head of Insights

With 300 million+ Pinners and tens of billions of Pins, there’s a massive supply of data on Pinterest—one of the most interesting data sets in the world, and the foundation of our next-generation discovery efforts. The Insights team couples this data with an understanding of Pinner platform behavior and macro market trends to frame the opportunity for our advertisers who are making people’s inspirations a reality through organic and paid investment on Pinterest. We’re looking for a Head of Insights with the vision to tell our unique story through data and showcase Pinterest as a thought leader and must-buy to our advertisers and the broader industry.

What you’ll do :
  • Work closely with Insights Leads and Analysts to thoughtfully analyze our platform and user data and execute studies with topics ranging from consumer behaviors, vertical insights, ad formats and best practices, and larger industry trends
  • Lead the development and consistent delivery of differentiating sales and marketing narratives, leveraging several types of data sources including internal behavioral data, qualitative and quantitative studies, and syndicated research
  • Partner with our go-to-market teams (Sales, Marketing, Communications) to identify and answer key strategic questions for the business and craft worthy stories we can tell externally
  • Turn insights into scalable, internal and external-facing self-serve tools with the help of our Product and Insights Solutions teams
  • Continue to grow the Insights team by attracting and retaining strong talent
What we’re looking for :
  • 10+ years of leadership experience within Insights and Analytics in the digital space
  • Strong analytical skills and business acumen working with multiple large sources of data to create evidence-based insights
  • Experience leading and guiding high-performing teams in a hyper growth environment
  • Excellent communicator and strong cross-functional partner
  • Ability to balance short-term insights needs with building a longer-term foundation of self-serve tools
  • Track record of thought leadership and familiarity with qualitative and quantitative research design
  • Experience working with syndicated resources like comScore, Nielsen, Kantar
