Technical Program Manager, Ads Oversight

Pinterest brings millions of people the inspiration to create a life they love for everything; whether that be tonight’s dinner, next summer’s vacation, or a dream house down the road. We are looking for a highly motivated and razor-sharp Technical Program Manager to drive our Ads team - the lifeblood of advertiser experiences at Pinterest - from campaign management and internal auctions to external portaling and tooling, the entire advertising lifecycle. You’ll work with Engineering teams to understand customer needs, build a roadmap and deliver one of Pinterest’s most critical initiatives. If this sounds like fun, we’d love to hear from you!

What you’ll do :
  • Work cross-functionally with dedicated Product, engineering, product marketing, partnerships, and other product groups to build the Ads infrastructure that powers all advertising and more at Pinterest
  • Be a trusted partner to execs/senior leaders, understand and improve constraints of organization
  • Establish effective cross-functional processes to anticipate, understand, prioritize and exceed the needs and requirements of customers
  • Build clear and transparent communication channels to align internal stakeholders and delivery teams, especially forums for review of critical experiments and infrastructure/spend issues
  • Become the expert on Ads - new experiments, campaign management, infra spend, capacity planning, revenue debugging
What we’re looking for :
  • BS in a technical discipline or equivalent experience (4+ years in a technical or analytical role)
  • 5+ years experience in a technology management role (product manager, engineering manager, program manager or technical consulting engagement manager)
  • Experience in Ad Buying, Pricing, and Marketplaces, either as part of a market/platform or buying-side
  • Prior software development experience, especially with highly scalable and distributed systems
  • Prior Product Management experience or Chief of Staff experience
  • Experience managing and aligning executive stakeholders a strong plus
  • Strong technical breadth and judgment - ability to quickly ramp up and go deep on a range of technologies, ability to identify technical risks and tradeoffs
  • Excellent communication skills and cross-functional trust-building
