Software Engineer, Offline Measurement

Pinterest personalizes millions of experiences by using machine learning algorithms to sift through our catalog of 100B Pins to find the best content for each Pinner. To provide high quality data to build these algorithms, our engineering teams rely heavily on human labelling platforms and services the human computation team has built from the ground up. As we look to scale these platforms both vertically and horizontally, we’re looking for a full stack engineer to join the team to drive technical excellence and curiosity.

What you will do :
  • Design, develop, and maintain company-wide data collection, metric calculation, and offline A/B analysis platforms
  • Expand pre-defined platform functionality to support high priority initiatives like Lens and Shop the Look
  • Develop data storage and infrastructure that seamlessly integrate human evaluation services with machine learning workflows
  • Enhance our in-app personalized data collection platform to provide products with more comprehensive performance insight
What we are looking for :
  • 3+ years relevant experience
  • Familiar with languages such as python, java or c++
  • Familiar with Hadoop, Hive, and Big Data technologies
  • Familiar with UI tech stack and Web Application Development
  • Desire to develop internal tools to support visual core signals and data
