Site Reliability Engineer, Applications

Pinterest is looking for a Site Reliability Engineer to build and run our large-scale distributed systems. As an Applications SRE, you are responsible for the reliability and performance of these applications.

What you'll do:

  • Design and implement building blocks for operating distributed systems.
  • Work with engineering team on design and implementation of applications.
  • Automation around alert handling, failure detection and recovery, performance  and capacity management.

What we're looking for:

  • Strong programming skills in one modern programming environment
  • Experience building and operating software systems at scale.  
  • Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix/BSD internals
