Software Engineer, Shopping Partner Experience (Big Data)

SPX is a brand new vertical team that owns the end-to-end partner experience for merchants spanning feed ingestion, opportunity sizing, campaign creation, measurement, and reporting. As a founding member of the team you'll get to know every aspect of the business, understand the challenges, and tackle scaling problems. We're looking for strong data engineers who are passionate about building scalable data pipelines that perform and operate reliably.

What you’ll do :
    • Design, build, test, and deploy scalable and robust ETL pipelines handling trillions of data points
    • Design and operate scalable data stores for efficient data reporting and analytics
    • Work with product managers to understand the business requirements and translate it into sound architecture and technical requirements
    • Be a technical thought leader in the team and mentor/coach junior and mid-level engineers
    • Participate in peer code reviews and technical meetings
What we're looking for :
    • 3+ years experience with a object-oriented/functional programming JVM languages - Java/Scala
    • 3+ years experience with a scripting language - Python/Perl/Shell
    • Experience building backend API services
    • Experience using relational databases like MySQL/Postgres
    • Adept in working on the command line in linux environment
