Technical Program Manager, Privacy and Data Protection

We are looking to hire a motivated and execution-oriented Technical Program Manager to drive the Privacy and Data Protection program at Pinterest. You will partner with Legal, Engineering, Security, Product and Business teams to build strategies and drive execution of critical initiatives to protect and secure personal data.

What you’ll do :
  • Continuously improve standards, processes, and documentation to improve privacy engineering principles and data protection practices -- including reviews, awareness, education and process controls
  • Deliver innovative solutions to ensure we maintain a privacy aware infrastructure; drive adoption of privacy best practices at every layer of the stack
  • Respond to inquiries from engineering, product and business teams regarding privacy and data protection requirements applicable to their areas
  • Provide technical expertise in support of development of and ensure compliance with Pinterest policies relating to privacy and data protection
  • Partner closely with Legal, Security, Engineering, Product, and Business teams
What we’re looking for :
  • BS in a technical discipline or equivalent experience of 5+ years working as a engineering manager or technical program manager or software engineer in privacy or security domain
  • Demonstrated expertise in privacy and data protection systems architecture and experience developing technical solutions to secure personal data across complex data infrastructures
  • Proven ability to operate and execute effectively and autonomously across cross-functional teams in ambiguous situations
  • Exceptional relationship-building skills, communication skills, organizational awareness, and ability to persuade others to accomplish program objectives while holding yourself and your team to a high standard of accountability
  • Strong technical architectural understanding of mobile and web products like Pinterest
